The Market Lofts project, located at the northwest corner of 80th and Marty Street in downtown Overland Park, KS, is a premier mixed-use development featuring 36 modern apartment units, 5,700 square feet of retail space, and an underground parking garage. Designed to enhance urban living, this development contributes to the revitalization of the downtown area.

Artin Engineering & Design played a crucial role in the project by providing structural steel and shoring design in collaboration with 2Point Construction. Through strategic value engineering, Artin helped reduce construction costs and save approximately $100,000 while improving project efficiency. A key challenge was the encroachment of a neighboring building into the project’s property, which initially required purchasing additional land. However, Artin’s innovative shoring design eliminated the need for property acquisition, allowing construction to proceed safely while preserving the original architectural plans.
